If you read every billboard, postcard and email... there is always some tatic to get people stirred up. Real Estate gimmicks have been around for as long as any agent can remember. Guaranteed Offers, and more...

The news only tells the stories with the best shock factor or awe value. It doesn't mean they are not true but you may be getting a partial story or a story with a slanted view. 

So should I move right now?

There is no blanket answer to this. There are a variety of situations where I would say ABSOLUTELY and some where I would encourage you to stay put. 

I can help you with market stats and financial calculators but in the end, you want to move or you don't.

No matter what the gimmick might be, it doesn't change the state of the market. It doesn't change your personal life. Figure out what is important to you and partner up with an agent you trust to help you make your move.
