Radon, mold and other home inspection items you may want to consider (but not freak out about) when buying or selling a home.
Most home inspectors put disclaimers in their reports about things that they do not have the tools, education or professional certifications to inspect. So what can you do about those items if you're concerned?
First of all, don't freak out! You've got to live somewhere. Whether it's a home you own or a rental, these things may or may not apply based on the age of the home and/or when it was remodeled.
I am not an expert in most of these areas... nor are most home inspectors... so here are some resources from the Minnesota Department of Health.
