Avoid the crowd and grab those groceries curbside!
What a great plan to follow Safe at Home and still get the foods and supplies you need - grocery delivery! But is it safe?
Here is what the FDA says:
If you are concerned about contamination of food and food packaging you have purchased from the grocery store, wash your hands after handling food and food packages when you return from the grocery store and after removing packaging from food. In addition, it’s always critical to follow the 4 key steps of food safety—clean, separate, cook, and chill – to prevent foodborne illness.
FDA also has advice about safely selecting and serving raw produce and more on their website.
Where to pick up or get your grocery order delivered
Here are places where you can pick up your groceries without entering the store or get delivery.
Cub Foods is all over the metro with approx 80 stores. They deliver with Instacart, or just sign up for pick up, park in the designated parking spot and they'll run it out to you.
Kowalski's has been doing curbside pickup and delivery for a long time, they use Door Dash to bring you the goods. Don't sleep on their Meal Kits which give you all the ingredients and instructions for a meal to make on your own.

Lunds & Byerlys is fully willing to do your shopping and having it ready at curbside for you to pick up. They've also added a "leave at the door" delivery option.
Target is so smooth on their pickup zone, or delivery. It's a great source for your canned soups, your boxed mac, and why not throw a board game and some fresh leggings in the mix!
Walmart Grocery Pickup & Delivery: shop Walmart’s groceries online and we’ll have them ready when it’s convenient for you to swing by and pick them up, or delivered to your door in select markets. Shopping for pantry staples, organic ingredients and fresh produce.
Whole Foods has been perfecting their online ordering and delivery. Special good deals for those Amazon Prime members.
