Where to watch fireworks in the Twin Cities on the 4th of July

Looking for things to do on the Fourth of July in the Twin Cities? Here is a list of both day and evening events to celebrate Independence Day.

Fireworks BEFORE the 4th of July 2019

BLAINE: Saturday, June 29, 2019, Approximately 10 p.m., National Sports Center, 1700 105th Ave. NE. (Best viewing at Aquatore Park, 9191 Lincoln St. NE)

Ham Lake: Saturday, June 29, 2019, Dusk (About 10 p.m.)Location: Lion’s Park, 1220 157th Lane NE, Ham LakeDetails: Ham Lake’s Freedom Festival will include bingo, inflatable fun, food, and live music as well!

PLYMOUTH: Tuesday, July 2, 2019, 10:05 p.m., Hilde Performance Center, 3500 Plymouth Blvd.(Plymouth’s summer classic promises an evening of free musical entertainment in a beautiful outdoor setting, presented by the Plymouth Civic League. Entertainment begins at 5:30 p.m., and the evening culminates with a world-class performance by the Minnesota Orchestra and a spectacular fireworks display.)

SHOREVIEW: Slice of Shoreview Days, July 26 through July 28, on Friday and Saturday at 10 p.m.

JULY 3, 2019 Fireworks

ANOKA: Fireworks at 10 p.m., Best viewing at Castle Field (600 Castle Field Blvd.)

BLOOMINGTON: Fireworks at dusk. Normandale Lake Park, 84th St. and Normandale Lake Blvd. (Summer Fete with music, carnival and inflatables. 5 p.m.)

LONSDALE: Dusk (About 10 p.m.), Industrial Park

MARINE ON ST. CROIX: Dusk. Downtown Marine on St. Croix.

RED WING: Fireworks at dusk. Treasure Island Casino, 5734 Sturgeon Lake Rd. (Concert with America. 8 p.m.)

ST. PAUL: Saint Paul will not be holding an official fireworks show, but the Saint Paul Saints will be having and Independence Day Celebration after their game against the Lincoln Saltdogs at CHS Field on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at 10 p.m.(Tickets starting at $8.00 for home games with a post-game fireworks super show)

SHAKOPEE: Fireworks at dusk. Canterbury Park, 1100 Canterbury Rd. (Live racing, music and family activities. 4 p.m.)

 

Twin Cities Fireworks on July 4th, 2019

in alphabetical order

APPLE VALLEY:  Fireworks at 10 p.m. Johnny Cake Ridge Park East, 5800 W. 140th St. (Parade, high school band performances, clowns, dancing and games. 1 p.m.)

ANNANDALE: Fireworks About 10 p.m., Annandale Municipal Park, 300 Oak Ave. N Fireworks are weather permitting.

CHANHASSEN: Fireworks at 10 p.m. Lake Ann Park, 7500 Lake Ann Dr. (Fishing contest, car show, sand sculpture contest and entertainment. 7 a.m.)

CHASKA: Fireworks at 10 p.m., Chaska Commons at 142 Pioneer Trail (The best viewing for Chaska’s fireworks is from McKnight Park, Jonathan Elementary School, Jonathan Square and the Home Depot parking lot. )

COON RAPIDS: Fireworks at 10 p.m. Coon Rapids Ice Center, 11000 Crooked Lake Blvd. (Midway, beer wagons, food trucks, music and bingo. Noon)

COTTAGE GROVE: Fireworks at dusk (10 p.m.) Kingston Park, 9195 75th St. S. (Food and beverages for sale. Mik Mart will be there selling ice cream. There is also a vendor selling cheese curds and roasted corn. The Lions will be hosting a variety of children’s game and raffles.)

DELANO:  Delano’s 4th of July Celebration, the largest and oldest in Minnesota, runs from July 3 to July 6, culminating in a 27-minute fireworks show. Fireworks on July 6th at 10:30 p.m. Central Park, N. River St. and Park Av.  

EAGAN: Fireworks at 10 p.m. Central Park, 1501 Central Pkwy. (Funfest with parade, carnival and entertainment. 10 a.m.)

EDEN PRAIRIE: Fireworks at 10 p.m. Round Lake Park, 7550 Constitution Av. (Live music, activities and concessions. 7:30 a.m.)

EDINA: 10 p.m.,Rosland Park, 4300 W. 66th St. (There will be a parade starting at 10 a.m.)

EXCELSIOR/LAKE MINNETONKA: Fireworks at dusk. Excelsior Commons, Lake Street along the south shore of Excelsior Bay. (Family activities, live entertainment. 7:30 a.m.)

FOREST LAKE: Fireworks at 10 p.m. Forest Lake American Legion, 355 W. Broadway Av. (Parade, reading of the Declaration of Independence, carnival and entertainment. 9 a.m.)

HASTINGS: Fireworks at 10 p.m. Hastings Golf Club (Live music, drink and food specials all day long… ending with the BEST firework show in Hastings!)

LAKEVILLE: Fireworks at dusk. Lakeville North High School, 19600 Ipava Av. (Pan-O-Prog with music, inflatables and concessions. 4:30 p.m.)

MAPLEWOOD:  Fireworks at dusk. Hazelwood Park, 1663 County Road C. (Live music, food trucks and mascot appearances. 4 p.m.)

MINNEAPOLIS: Fireworks at 10 p.m. Father Hennepin Bluffs Park, 100 6th Av. SE. (Family activities, vendors and music. 6 p.m.)

PRIOR LAKE: Fireworks at 10 p.m. Lakefront Park, 5000 Kop Pkwy. (Boat parade. 1 p.m.)

PRIOR LAKE: Fireworks at 10 p.m. Mystic Lake Casino, 2400 Mystic Lake Blvd. (Rock and Rockets with music by Kat Perkins and Jesse Larson and food trucks. 5 p.m.)

RICHFIELD: Fireworks at 10 p.m. Veterans Memorial Park, 6335 Portland Av. S. (Wreath-laying, parade, food trucks and live wrestling. 10 a.m.)

ROSEVILLE: Fireworks at 10 p.m. Central Park, 2540 N. Lexington Av. (Rosefest with kids’ entertainment and carnival activities. 1 p.m.)

Shakopee: Valleyfair fireworks start at 9:50 p.m., Valley Fair, 1 Valley Fair D. (There will be rides, food, games and entertainment for all to enjoy. Guests who are not in the park can still enjoy the thrill of one of the largest fireworks shows in Minnesota by parking outside the park along Highway 13 where there is plenty of parking to accommodate all viewers along the frontage road.)

ST. LOUIS PARK: Fireworks at 10 p.m. Aquila Park, 3100 Xylon Av. S. (Vendors, concessions and entertainment. 7 p.m.)

STILLWATER: Fireworks at dusk. 201 Water St.

WACONIA: 10 p.m. Lake Waconia Regional Park, 8170 Paradise Lane.

WHITE BEAR LAKE: Fireworks at dusk. Memorial Beach Park, 4980 Lake Av. N. (Manitou Days with music and flyover. 8 p.m.)

WOODBURY: Fireworks at 10 p.m. HealthEast Sports Center, 4125 Radio Dr. (KidZone, music and food vendors. 6 p.m.)

 

Fireworks AFTER the 4th of July (in alphabetical order):

ELK RIVER: Saturday, July 6, 2019, 10 p.m., Lion John Weicht Park, 1104 Lions Park Dr. (Elk RiverFest will wrap up with an amazing fireworks display, launched from Elk River High School. The best vantage points to enjoy the display can be found at Lion John Weicht Park, located at 1104 Lions Park Drive, or Salk Middle School, located at 11970 Highland Rd. NW.)

MAPLE GROVE: Saturday, July 13, 2019, Dusk (Around 10 p.m.), 12951 Weaver Lake Road, Maple Grove (Launched from the south shore of West Arbor Lake behind the Maple Grove Community Center. 

ROBBINSDALE: Sunday, July 14, 2019, Dusk (About 10 p.m.), Hollingsworth Park (4237 Shoreline Dr.) or Lakeview Terrace Park (3769 Crystal Lake Blvd.), The fireworks conclude the Whiz Bang Days Festival, which begins on July 11 and runs through July 14.
